Azula Bandit/Mncube

Azula AKA Lerato Mncube is a multidisciplinary artist with a diverse range of skills in dance, theatre, music and more. Originally born in South Africa, Azula is heavily inspired by the African and Black Diasporas which is reflected in their movement style and way of life.  Since finishing their vocational training at Dance City, Azula has traveled internationally; training, performing, and developing their skills. Azula has been involved in a number of creative projects in the North East, as well as establishing their own company, Just Afro, providing a platform for conversation and the celebration of Afro and Black Arts. Azula is committed to furthering the empowerment of women and non-binary people through movement. Azula Joined Dandyism in March of 2022
