Led by award-winning, Juno-nominated multi-instrumentalist Beny Esguerra, this interactive, hands-on activity introduces participants to the traditional percussion instruments that form the foundation of the internationally loved genre of cumbia. Through drumming and singing, Beny explores the history of Afro-Indigenous Colombian music and how it continues to be revitalized by contemporary artists around the world.
