Christa Couture is an award-winning filmmaker, performing and recording artist, writer and broadcaster who talks with her hands a lot. She is also proudly Indigenous (mixed Cree and Scandinavian), queer, disabled, and a mom. Her debut memoir "How to Lose Everything" is available from Douglas & McInTyre, and the series of Indigenous, short, animated films inspired by the book is available from CBC Arts. While most of Christa’s work has and will explore experiences of grief, she also hosts the adventurous accessible travel series “Postcards From…” for AMI TV and is a frequent contributor and guest host on CBC Radio.
