Mishael Eusebio
Filipino Canadian tenor Mishael Eusebio is recognized for his expressive performances and charismatic stage presence.
Eusebio has performed with several orchestras across Canada and the United States. He was the tenor soloist in Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana with Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, the Orchestre symphonique de Gatineau, and the Orchestre symphonique du Conservatoire de musique de Québec, where he performed at the Grand Théâtre de Québec. He also appeared as the tenor soloist in Igor Stravinsky’s Pulcinella with the Orchestre symphonique de Laval under the baton of Andrei Feher. Additionally, he has performed numerous Bach cantatas as the resident tenor soloist at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Cincinnati, collaborating with members of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra.
On stage, Eusebio has taken on a variety of roles. At Opéra de Montréal, he performed as Un Passager in Le Flambeau de la nuit, multiple roles in L'incoronazione di Poppea, and covered the role of Tamino in Die Zauberflöte, a role he later performed at Opera Theatre of Saint Louis. He also appeared as Rose’s Fiancé in Awakenings at the same company. Other notable roles include Manoj and the Navigator in A Space of Sky with Houston Grand Opera’s HGO co, Bardolfo in Falstaff at l’Atelier de l’Opéra de Montréal, and the King in A Dragon’s Tale with Tapestry Opera. His portrayal of young Harvey in the world premiere of Harvey Milk Reimagined at Opera Theatre of Saint Louis garnered critical acclaim and was featured on the cover of Opera America Magazine (Summer 2022).
