Tap dancer Travis Knights was introduced to the rich oral tradition of Tap by renowned legend, Ethel Bruneau. He went on to spread his love of rhythm internationally, touring with Tap Dogs, Tapestry Dance Company, and the self-produced Tap Love Tour. He received the 2020 Jaqueline Lemieux Prize for his outstanding contribution to Canadian dance. Travis has since toured with the Anandam Dance Theatre collaboration, Ephemeral Artifacts, won a Dora Award for Outstanding Performance in dance Immersion’s Legacy Tap Concert, became a Soulpepper Slaight Family Music Associate, and launched The Mars Project, an evolving full-length production with an international cast.
