About the Opportunity 

 

Luminato Festival is looking for a Corporate Partnership Manager to join our Development team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and growing an annual corporate portfolio and ensuring excellent partner stewardship. This role requires an understanding of the sponsorship/fundraising cycle, creative thinking, strong organizational and communications skills with opportunities for collaboration with all functional areas within the company.

Salary:   $70,000 - $75,000 

 

Key Responsibilities 

 

Corporate Partnerships  

  • Take an active role in revenue generation by managing a portfolio of corporate prospects at various stages of identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship 
  • Work with Senior Director, Chief Development Officer, Network Advisory Committee and Board to build prospect pipeline 
  • Lead prospect meetings to generate investment in Luminato 
  • Develop and present partnership opportunities with support from the Senior Director, Corporate Partnerships and the Chief Development Officer as needed 
  • Create partnership agreements, and lead the successful fulfillment of contractual benefits to meet the partner’s engagement objectives 
  • Provide accurate and regular updates on progress of relationships and any issues, recommending solutions as necessary 
  • Establish processes and practices that advance the portfolio’s performance and supports Luminato’s revenue goals 
  • Support the Development team’s budgeting process, establishing revenue goals, monitoring process against goals and reporting progress to key stakeholders 
  • Working with the Senior Director, actively participate in the development of corporate fundraising strategies and implement best practices in sponsorship 
  • Maintain sponsorship pipeline information in CRM database (Spektrix) and generate reports as required 
  • Ability to plan and execute events to deliver corporate partner benefits. This includes working with internal teams and suppliers on the development and fulfillment 
  • Influence and inspire Luminato to initiate new programs and campaigns in support of corporate partnership growth 
  • Motivate by providing leadership, priority setting and management direction to direct reports and empowering them to strive and achieve agreed upon goals while ensuring they have the necessary knowledge and tools for success 
  • Provide key support of supporter engagement and stewardship activities, including receptions and events, during the festival time 
  • Other responsibilities as defined and agreed upon 

 

 

The Candidate:

Required Qualifications 

  • 4+ years of progressive experience in sponsorship fundraising or equivalent 
  • A desire for a career in arts management or development 
  • Interest in and enthusiasm for the arts, partnerships and fundraising 
  • Ability to nurture and develop long-term relationships with prospective and current corporate partners 
  • Excellent research, presentation, written and verbal communication skills, and a polished manner 
  • Strong customer service orientation, interpersonal and networking skills, with an ability to act with sensitivity, tact and diplomacy 
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced hybrid working environment, with a sense of humour and positivity 
  • Ability to work independently and play a leadership role in motivating others 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience working in the arts and culture sector and/or live events 
  • Experience using Spektrix or similar CRM/fundraising software 
  • Experience using Microsoft Office programs, including Sharepoint, Teams and OneDrive 
  • Knowledge of the local, national, and international arts community
