Terrance Houle grew up dancing across North America. As a member of the Kainai Nation, his mother, Maxine Weasel Fat, painstakingly crafted regalia for his family to dance in - from his sister Jolane’s Elk Tooth dress to his daughter’s Jingle dress. In this photographic mural, Terrance captures these garments in motion.
Dance/ Ipásskaa
is a visual feast that honours his mother’s creations and invites viewers to witness the legacy of the Kainai Nation through the eyes of one family.
