The Show
Set aside everything you think you know about Shakespeare's masterpiece. Peruvian director Chela De Ferrari brings a revolutionary production of Hamlet to Toronto, featuring eight actors with Down syndrome who breathe new life into the world's most famous play.
This isn't your typical Hamlet. Through a blend of sharp humor, fearless performances, and raw emotional truth, these remarkable actors take on Shakespeare's greatest question - "to be or not to be" - giving it startling new relevance. What does it mean to exist in a world that often fails to see your true worth?
Bold, playful, and deeply moving, this devised production has electrified audiences worldwide by turning Shakespeare's masterpiece into a joyful celebration of human dignity. As each actor embodies Hamlet in their own unique way, they challenge our assumptions.
