Ian Chan

Ian is a Hong Kong-Canadian composer, arranger/orchestrator, and music director based in NYC. Broadway credits include Operation Mincemeat, Chess, Hell’s Kitchen, The Queen of Versailles, SMASH, The Heart of Rock and Roll, 1776. Favorite Off-Broadway and regional credits include Radio City Christmas Spectacular, CATS: The Jellicle Ball (PAC NYC), Working Girl (La Jolla), Tale of the Gifted Prince (Theatre Calgary), Romy and Michele (Stage 42), DOLLY (Fisher Center), See What I Wanna See (OOTB), Gavin Creel’s Walk On Through (MCC). Projects in development include The King’s Critique (ArtLab) and Crazy Rich Asians (Warner Bros.). Ian’s original musical, OUT (book by Kalos Chu, lyrics by JuHye Mun), was developed at Theatre Aquarius.
