Born in Niger, Boubé sings, plays, and composes desert blues in the purest tradition of the style. A self-taught musician and seasoned accompanist, he shares the stage with artists Bombino and Mdou Moctar. He has earned the nickname "Jimi Hendrix of the Sahara" because of his fiery stage presence. Discovered at the 2024 Syli d'Or awards, this charismatic artist took home the Syli d'Argent. This experience allowed him to gain recognition from both the Quebec public and industry professionals, including the music press, and led to a festival tour in the summer of 2024. Boubé has released an album in partnership with Nuits d'Afrique in March 2025 and continues his ascension.
