Shari Kasman

Shari Kasman is a Toronto-based artist and writer who creates public art, books, and urban interventions. Her practice explores community, humour, and the absurdity of municipal life, inviting the public to pause, look closer, and find unexpected wonder in everyday details. She is best known for co-creating Bloordale Beach, a temporary landlocked oasis on a stalled construction site, and for Goodbye, Galleria, a photobook about a dying shopping mall. Her work has been featured in The Globe and Mail, Toronto Life, CBC, and BBC Radio 4.
